Quilts with Skyelar
Skyelar and I went and saw a wonderful knit shop. My 94 year old Mom, who thought she might be passed knitting, is knitting on a beautiful scarf. I saw so many patterns and ideas. Next week Skye and I will look at a local Quilt Store. Quilt Stores for me, are like candy stores for kids. We will take pictures.
Being Creative
Being able to imagine and create is such a gift.
Knitting
Skyelar and I had such fun looking at all the yarn and patterns at the Tangle knit store. Here is one of their patterns from their website.

Skyelar, Grandma and KNITTING
Next week, Skyelar and I are off to look at a Knitting Store. I remember going with my Mom to a knit shop in Grand Junction. It was downtown. Several, what I thought were “old” ladies ran it. It was run out of their house and they seemed to have yarn and cats everywhere. Ladies, cats, yarn and laughter are my memories. I never became the knitter my Mom was. But I have always loved to visit knit stores.
Vintage Singer Sewing Machine
My wonderful daughter, Suki found a sewing machine like this in Oklahoma. She packed it up and sent it to me. What a treasure – both daughter and sewing machine.

Passages
I remember reading a book in the 80’s titled “Passages”. The life transitions we make through life. The point I was in then was how to raise two lovely daughters. My passion then was crafting. Now I am in the Grandma phase. Crafting is still my passion. Now I however have two new wonders in my life to incorporate into my Crafting life. My dear Granddaughter and my ever challenging computer iPad and a blog. Skyelar and I are off on this new phase. We have lots of wonderfully exciting new things to explore and write about.
