Christmas Memories
Of course we know, Christmas is for children or better yet the child in all of us.I can remember looking at toys through a glass window. Bedazzled by all the lights and colors. Thinking how in the world could there be so many fun things to choose from. My kids were not so much the glass windows shoppers, they were the, isles and isles, from floor to ceiling- toys shoppers. I,with the shopping cart, trying to keep two little girls and one equally enthusiastic Grandmother in sight. Music and children’s squeals filled the air. They are fantastic memories. How many others were having the same memories in the making. The lines to the checkout were endless. Children were everywhere – including my own. At the time wondering how in the world would I survive this. Now dreaming of being there again.

The Importance of Color
These blocks were posted on my Facebook page. I love their bright, bold colors! Traditional block patterns can really start to sparkle let your color imagination go wild.

Quilts with Skyelar
Skyelar and I went and saw a wonderful knit shop. My 94 year old Mom, who thought she might be passed knitting, is knitting on a beautiful scarf. I saw so many patterns and ideas. Next week Skye and I will look at a local Quilt Store. Quilt Stores for me, are like candy stores for kids. We will take pictures.
Being Creative
Being able to imagine and create is such a gift.
Knitting
Skyelar and I had such fun looking at all the yarn and patterns at the Tangle knit store. Here is one of their patterns from their website.

Skyelar, Grandma and KNITTING
Next week, Skyelar and I are off to look at a Knitting Store. I remember going with my Mom to a knit shop in Grand Junction. It was downtown. Several, what I thought were “old” ladies ran it. It was run out of their house and they seemed to have yarn and cats everywhere. Ladies, cats, yarn and laughter are my memories. I never became the knitter my Mom was. But I have always loved to visit knit stores.
